- 100% Coursework 1: Ethics Research Proposal (3,000 words max.) and Empirical research paper II or academic case study on research topic in thesis (6000 words max)

Educational Aims
•The implementation of experimental design and statistics.•Carrying out sampling, survey techniques and observational studies in forensic settings.•Dealing with confounding variables and establishing control samples.•Applying inferential statistics including multivariate analysis.•Use of qualitative methods of analysis, where appropriate (i.e. small samples). •Use SPSS, for data management and analyses.•Presentation of original research to a professional audience.Learning Outcomes
by the end of this module, trainees should have the ability to:
•develop research questions and hypotheses
•The ability to apply findings from systematic review approaches
•Completed research project planning, design, analysis and presentation
•Been able to apply appropriate statistical techniques
•understand manage data and multi-variate analysis on SPSS or in-depth analysis.
