Summary
Introduction to placement work, principles of reflective practice and professional practice skills and report writing. This includes case study planning and single case study methods, behavioural assessment and modification, measurement of change and psychometric evaluation, single case study analysis and presentation (incorporating a cognitive-behavioural approach with functional analysis of behaviour).

D.Foren.Psy. (Doctorate in Forensic Psychology)
Classes
- One 6-hour workshop
Activities may take place every teaching week of the Semester or only in specified weeks. It is usually specified above if an activity only takes place in some weeks of a Semester.
Assessment
- 100% Coursework 1: Oral presentation and written summary of research and practice interests and the topic the trainee would focus on for the following two years

Educational Aims
To prepare the trainee for work in the forensic placement setting and be able to reflect on their practice work and carry out academic case study with an executive summary to feedback to professional colleagues.Learning Outcomes
by the end of the module the trainees should:
· Have an understanding of working in forensic settings and the ethical considerations;
· Have an understanding of case Study planning, design, analysis and presentation;
· Have an understanding of probability and hypothesis testing applied to single case study and research;
· Knowledge of simple descriptive and non-parametric statistics applied to single case study;
· Have an understanding of reflective practice skills in relation to placement work and reports;
· Have an understanding of placement report writing and presentation of diaries.
