Educational Aims

This module has three aims. First, it seeks to familiarise students with the key aspects of twentieth century Catholic theology with particular reference to the ressourcement movement. Secondly, this module aims to advance students’ understanding of current debates in theology and philosophy with reference to the confrontation between neoscholasticism and la nouvelle théologie. A greater understanding of this crucial theological movement will also enable the fulfilment of this modules final aim: to enhance students’ understanding of the current Papacy and wider ecclesial relations
