Educational Aims

This module has two aims. First, the module seeks to introduce students to the methods, sources and terminology of systematic and philosophical theology in a way appropriate to graduate-level study. Secondly, the module seeks to provide students with sufficient skills and knowledge to tackle more specialist modules later in the course with confidence. As a ‘gateway’ for students without a formal training in either systematic or philosophical theology, this module would always be the first taken by any student for whom it is appropriate.
