Summary
Communicating in professional settings and the development of presentation skills, identifying training needs and preparing a training proposal, developing a training package, use of the web in providing training and training materials, principles of raising awareness and delivering information through training and oral conference presentation.

- 50% Coursework 1: Written report on the development of a training package (4,000 words max), the delivery of a workshop
- 50% Coursework 2: Preparation and delivery of an oral conference paper in powerpoint

Educational Aims
•To further develop communication and presentation skills to professional and lay audiences.•To be able to identify training needs and develop and deliver a training package related to this assessment.•To understand the principles of raising awareness and knowledge through training in workshops and on the web.Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module the trainees should:
- To be able to develop and deliver a workshop on the trainee’s research work.
- To be able to prepare an oral conference paper in powerpoint for a professional conference.
