Summary
Empirical research project in applied psychology.
Target Students
Postgraduate students in the Divisions of Psychiatry and Applied Psychology and Rehabilitation and Ageing.
Classes
- One 1-hour lecture each week for 2 weeks
Group-based and individual supervision as determined by supervisors (maximum 10 hours supervision).Total contact time: 10 hours supervision (maximum); self study: about 440 hours.
Assessment
- 100% Project 1: 8,000 word Research portfolioStudents are assessed through a Research Portfolio, which includes a research paper, project management report, executive summary and other elements. The course mark will be based on assessment of the research paper alone, but all other non-marked parts of the research portfolio must also be submitted and are assessed on a pass/fail basis. Details of the lateness penalties relating to submission of the ARP Research Portfolio are described in the ARP Handbook.

Educational Aims
The project is designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in, and learn from, supervised project work in applied psychology. The emphasis is on applied research and associated methods in an organisational context.Learning Outcomes
