Summary
This module will introduce topics in professional psychology and allow the student to explore these in more depth. The student will cover topics including how forensic, clinical, educational, and other professional psychologists work and how they apply psychology in various settings. The student will consider how psychological models are created and applied and how interventions are applied and evaluated.

Classes
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 20 weeks
Students will engage in regular online group discussion. Within these discussions, students will explore topics presented during lectures more deeply. Group discussions will be monitored by teaching faculty and will help students develop a deeper understanding of the topics presented, allow students to apply new knowledge, and help develop professional communication skills. Students will work on their own essay theme. Total working time on the module, including self-study, is recommended to be 200 hours.

Educational Aims
The purpose of this module to allow students to critically appraise, analyse, and summarize information related to different theories in applied psychology, to appreciate how psychological theories and models have shaped interventions, to introduce psychology in a variety of settings, and to illustrate how therapies and interventions are developed and evaluated.Learning Outcomes
