Summary
Problem-based learning to support lectures on neuroimaging topics. Topics covered include an introduction to computer programming with MATLAB and to the analysis of functional neuroimaging data.
Target Students
Compulsory for MSc Cognitive Neuroscience students. Optional for 4th year MSci and other PGstudents at Psychology. Preference is given to students studying MSc Psychology courses but is open to students outside of the school with the module convenors approval.Students are reminded that enrolments which are not agreed by the offering School in advance may be cancelled without notice.
Classes
- One 2-hour practicum each week for 9 weeks

- 100% Coursework 1: Programming assignment

Educational Aims
The aim is for students to become familiar with basic programming in MATLAB, collection and analysis of behavioural data, and the analysis of fMRI data.Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should have developed the practical skills that are required for writing MATLAB programs for behavioural and functional MRI data analysis.
