Summary
This course will focus on work-related health and wellbeing epidemiology and economic burden. Additionally, exploring myths and facts about occupational health and ergonomics. Work closely with The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics and the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers for support, networking, and learning opportunities; develop work-based assessment and management skills (DSE etc).
Target Students
Only available to BSc Physiotherapy and BSc Sport Rehabilitation students in Year 3.
Classes
Teaching via a variety of methods including seminars and lectures.
Assessment
- 100% Presentation: Individual presentation (40 minutes)

Educational Aims
To evaluate contemporary practice and evidence regarding assessment and management of workplace related health and wellbeing. This course will also provide learning opportunities for the development of workplace clinical assessment and management skills.Learning Outcomes
Critically appraise contemporary practice and evidence related to workplace health and wellbeing.
Formulate evidence-based strategies to impact on the individual and societal burden of work-related health and wellbeing.
Develop and demonstrate workplace assessment and management skills.
Build support and network strategies related to personal sustainable engagement in personal workplace health and wellbeing.
Critically negotiate policy and incorporate into project.
Demonstrate an awareness of governance in the workplace setting.
