Summary
This module concerns the writing up on the individual elements of a major group project.
Target Students
Students who wish to graduate in one of the accredited degree programmes offered in the Department of M3, but who have only completed a Group Project and not an Individual Research Project.
Classes
Completion of this module is for accreditation purposes only, and counts for zero credits towards the degree classification. Being registered for this module delivers none of the normal rights of being registered as a student. The assessed work must be handed in for assessment to the Department of M3 by the 31st August in the year that the student intends to graduate.

- 100% Report: Write up of research report, typically of 5000 words in length

Educational Aims
To describe and discuss an individual piece of experimental, design or theoretical research work which has previously been undertaken as part of a group project. To demonstrate development of an understanding in depth of a selected topic area, by researching the literature and carrying out experimental or theoretical investigations.Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes vary depending on the subject of the project, but will include: project planning, analytical analysis of an engineering problem, written presentation skills via report writing, critical analysis via literature review and discussion of outcomes.
