Summary

The module involves the in-depth study of a topic in art history. The topic is chosen by the student in consultation with a tutor and can only be taken subject to approval by the module convener/Head of Department. The dissertation module convenor will allocate the student's tutor in consultation with the student, subject to the availability of staff. There is a minimum requirement of four hours supervision, with further time allocated at the discretion of the tutor. Attendance at regular tutorials/workshops is a requirement for completion of the module.

•) To encourage students to plan, research and write a short piece of independent research in Art History•To enable students to locate some relevant source materials and construct a working bibliography•To encourage students to construct and edit a text using IT
