Summary
The core focus will be on developing study skills, including speed reading and writing, essay writing, literature review, oral and listening skills. There will be a strong emphasis on developing the necessary skills for the Environmental Science programme. The module will provide training in tools for independent learning, critical analysis and synthesis of scientific literature and information sources, effective group working, communication in small group teaching, and consideration of appropriate methods of scientific enquiry.
