Summary
This module is set out in two streams: one for students planning a Human Geography dissertation and one for students planning a Physical Geography dissertation. For students planning a Human Geography dissertation, the module covers a range of methodologies and encourages students to understand and experience human geography of these methods through participation in practical projects. For students planning a Physical Geography dissertation, the module presents the opportunity for hands-on experience of laboratory and statistical techniques in physical geography appropriate to the domain of interest of the participants.

Classes
Teaching will take place in the form of lectures, seminars and/or computer and laboratory practicals.
Assessment
- 50% Coursework 1: 1,000 words
- 50% Coursework 2: 1,000 words
