Summary
This pod provides a comprehensive introduction to the study of narrative. Taking a narratological perspective students will investigate how narratives are structured, presented, and conceptualised in the mind of the reader, reflecting critically on the narrative-communicative situation. Across a range of practical applications and discussion they will consider those key topics which are fundamental to the creation of narrative, from the representation of point of view through to the articulation of time, reflecting critically on contemporary narratological theory and practice.
