Summary
Digital technology has now long played a significant role in the ways that modern-day organisations communicate and do work. For organisations of all types, and for professionals, it is therefore important to understand how digital platforms like websites and social media are used in professional contexts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their communicative and working practices. Allied to this is also the issue of the potential benefits and limitations associated with such platforms. This pod explores the role of digital technology in the professional sphere, introducing key concepts in and approaches to digital professional communication by drawing on research based on real-life communication as observed in the professional sphere of public life.
