Summary
In this final module of the course, students plan and undertake a small-scale inquiry in their own schools. The outcome will be a study (or equivalent presentation) which reports and reflects upon the design, implementation and findings of the project. In preparation for the research and data-generation processes, the module considers methodological principles and ethical considerations of practitioner research. Guidance is also offered on the planning, undertaking and presentation of the study itself.
Target Students
Only available for Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Studies (SWIFT) students.

This module will be delivered in a variety of ways which may include lectures, seminars, etc
Assessment
- 100% Coursework 1: 4,000 word written assignment.

Educational Aims
The aims of the module are to:• engage with ideas of education for social justice and investigate strategies to promote social justice in and through teaching;• develop expertise in classroom based research methodology;• promote personal reflection and professional learning;• make appropriate use of professional and academic literature;• demonstrate reflective capacity through the medium of a narrative presentation or written assignment.Learning Outcomes
