Summary

This module advances knowledge and experience of working with more challenging and complex case presentations and issues. Whilst continuing to extend and deepen the self-awareness of the student in preparation for placement the student will

Students will develop more advanced skills in therapeutic relating. They will develop greater self-awareness by engaging in a range of activities including process groups, small and large group exercises and counselling skills sessions.

 

Target Students

Available to MA Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy students.

Classes

Taught through a series of seminars.

Assessed by end of spring semester

Educational Aims

The aims of the module are:To advance knowledge and understanding in the field of professional practice to ensure ethical practiceTo create deeper awareness of self and other in the therapeutic relationship

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module students should have:
Knowledge and understanding
• Develop advanced understanding of ensuring safe ethical practice in the range of competence
• Have an advanced awareness of issues and influences on interpersonal relations
