Summary
The module provides a basic introduction to the concepts of probability, statistics and matrix algebra that are used in econometric theory and in economic data analysis. The module covers the following material:
- Probability Theory (Probability, Random variables, Distributions, Independence)
- Statistics (Estimation, Inference, Hypotheses testing)
- Regression (Simple regression, Multiple regression with matrix notation).

Available for MSc students in the School of Economics.
