Summary
An independent research project, involving the application of techniques of economic analysis to a self-chosen research topic and the presentation of a written report.
Target Students
Available to Final Year Economics students only. This module cannot be taken with L13520 Econometrics Project.
Classes
- One 1-hour seminar each week for 5 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 9 weeks
- One 1-hour computing each week for 3 weeks
Initial Supervision.
Assessment
- 20% Coursework 1: Proposal (2000 words)
- 80% Coursework 2: Dissertation (7500 words)
Assessed in both autumn & spring semest
Learning Outcomes
Specific dissertations will cover different learning outcomes depending on the topics chosen. Key learning outcomes which will apply to all dissertations are as follows:
