An independent research project, involving the application of techniques of economic analysis to a self-chosen research topic and the presentation of a written report.

Target Students

Available to Final Year Economics students only. This module cannot be taken with L13520 Econometrics Project.

Assessed in both autumn & spring semest

Learning Outcomes

Specific dissertations will cover different learning outcomes depending on the topics chosen. Key learning outcomes which will apply to all dissertations are as follows:
Knowledge and Understanding
A4 Demonstrate understanding of verbal, graphical, mathematical and econometric representation of economic ideas and analysis, including the relationship between them.
