Summary
How does economics impact on politicians? And how do politicians impact on economics? You will study both contemporary economics and the political leaders who have put key economic theories into practice throughout history. Each topic is structured around a significant politician and a significant aspect of economics.
Target Students
Available to Year 1 Undergraduate students on Economics degree programmes. Not available to Exchange students.
Classes
This module is delivered through a series of lectures and tutorials.
Assessment
- 20% Coursework: Group Tutorial Work
- 80% Exam (1-hour): Exam

Educational Aims
The aims of the module are:To understand how economics impacts on politicians, and how politicians impact on economics.To explore some key ideas and concepts of economics.To explore both similarities and differences in solutions to economic problems, as adopted within different economic systems.Learning Outcomes
