Summary
This module will allow students to develop in-depth understanding of a section/aspect of the industry of their choice by researching, under supervision and guidance, a topic of their choice.
Target Students
Only available to students on MA Film, Television and Screen Industries.
Classes
- One 1-hour workshop each week for 5 weeks
Assessment
- 100% Dissertation: Dissertation/project of work not to exceed 12,000 words

Educational Aims
The module aims to facilitate the development of knowledge and skills that will inform students’ choices in terms of: a) The area/topic(s) to pursue for future research (PhD/industry consultancy) and/or b) The department/area of industry employment where they may wish to work it will do so by supporting and guiding: In-depth understanding of a particular department, area or topic concerning the film, television and screen industries today. Development and understanding of necessary skillset, terminology and professional practices of the department, area or topic chosen by the student. Knowledge and understanding of latest developments in relevant scholarship. Production of a portfolio of materials that indicates the student’s knowledge and understanding of the chosen department, area or topic selected.Learning Outcomes
