- One 2-hour workshop each week for 11 weeks

- 100% Coursework: Coursework - Portfolio of work including written work or equivalent not to exceed 4,000 words

Educational Aims
The module aims to develop student understanding and knowledge of contemporary market conditions/regulatory environments. It also aims to enable students to locate and critically interpret market data on the industry. It will do so by addressing and analysing: •Contemporary market conditions/regulatory environments •The notion of a ‘market’ •Market data •The relationship of regulations to marketsLearning Outcomes
1. Intellectual skills
a. Identify and analyze the various process that comprise what is collectively referred to as markets and regulations, regulatory frameworks and other relevant market dynamics in the context of the film and Television industry and related screen contexts
b. Critically evaluate, package and present research and a variety of types of information and evidence
2. Professional / practical skills
a. Identify and assess various market dynamics of marketing and regulatory frameworks, such as the relationship between regulations, markets and the flow of people, funding and projects in the film and television industry today
b. Identify and develop an informed understanding of the challenges and opportunities that individuals and organisations face when dealing with current global market dynamics and (trans)national regulatory frameworks
c. Develop ability to engage with industry attitudes and specialist languages and apply relevant knowledge to real-life scenarios
