Educational Aims
Work on the project involves identifying an existing company or organization in the cultural sector, or otherwise setting up a new company or organization, and compiling a report outlining how that company/organization may develop new business opportunities and/or solve a specific problem or problems which it confronts. It is the task of the project to outline the purpose and function of the company/organization, profile the relevant cultural industry which the company/organization operates in, explain the opportunity or problem identified, outline how the company/organization is or will be financed, specify a set of objectives which are intended for the company/organization to achieve, summarize what resources will be required to reach those objectives, and to identify the main competitors in the relevant industry and explain how the company/organization will be marketed and positioned in relation to those rivals. By addressing these requirements, the project has the aim of synthesizing knowledge and understanding of cultural industries with the business skills acquired in the taught modules of the degree programme.Learning Outcomes
