Summary
You will conduct a piece of empirical and/or theoretical research in an area of cyber physical systems, under the supervision of a member of academic or research staff, and using an appropriate methodology. Where appropriate, your project may also be conducted in conjunction with an external organisation.
Target Students
Students on the MSc in Cyber Physical Systems (U7PCYBER) in the School of Computer Science.
Assessment
- 80% Dissertation: Up to 20,000 word dissertation (exc. appendices) in electronic form (PDF). Any source code must also be included with electronic submission.
- 10% Project: Project plan including ethics clearance.
- 10% Presentation: Presentation/software demonstration of work and results.

On completion of this module, students should be able to: conduct independent research in an appropriate strand of the degree, prepare and write scientific reports, under the supervision of a member of academic staff.
