Summary
This module includes work on the skills needed for: writing an academic assignment (2,000-words), writing an annotated bibliography, reading academic texts, expanding academic vocabulary and grammar, listening to lectures, participating in seminar discussions and giving presentations. In addition, students will have weekly sessions with a personal tutor.
Target Students
Only available for students registered on a presessional English Language programme (CELE preparatory English Language).

Educational Aims
This module aims to prepare students for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at the University of Nottingham. This module is designed to help students improve their English language level with a focus on academic English and to foster their understanding of the study skills required, facilitating the transition into the UK HE context.Learning Outcomes
