Target Students
Business School MSc students subject to compliance with module choice requirements, as listed in the degree programme specification. In addition, other MA/MSc students subject to the discretion of the Director of MSc Programmes.
Classes
- One 1-hour-30-minute seminar each week for 5 weeks
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 10 weeks
20 contact hours, 80 hours of self-study time.
Assessment
- 50% Coursework 1: Individual Coursework (2,000 words)
- 50% Exam 1 (1-hour): 1 hour Examination.
Educational Aims
Introduction to business research, literature review, research questions and objectives, formulating research To instil familiarity with and understanding of key techniques of quantitative and qualitative analysis. To improve accessibility of research material such as journal articles. To provide basic skills in support of both other modules taught on the MSc Programme and dissertation research involving quantitative and qualitative analysisLearning Outcomes
