Summary
This module introduces students to the international business environment. The module develops an understanding of the global environment: globalisation of business, internationalisation theories, innovation; international institutions governing IB (flows of trade, investment, financial and human capital), and differences between countries (political, economic and cultural).
Target Students
Business School MSc students meeting pre-requisites and subject to compliance with module choice requirements, as listed in the degree programme specification. In addition, other MA/MSc students meeting pre-requisites and subject to the discretion of the Director of MSc Programmes. There is a limited number of places on this module. Students are reminded that enrolments which are not agreed by the Offering School in advance may be cancelled without notice.
Classes
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 10 weeks
11 2-hour lectures delivered once per week, over 11 weeks.
Assessment
- 100% Exam 1 (2-hour): 2 hours exam

Educational Aims
To examine national/regional/international political, economic, technological, cultural and institutional factors that make up the global business environment, and to understand the impact of the global business environment on business' international decisions.Learning Outcomes

Intellectual Skills: This module develops:
