Summary
This module presents an introduction to Financial Economics focusing on topics such as: the determination of interest rates; the role of financial institutions in the financial and monetary system; banking regulation, risk management in banks.
Target Students
Part I and II undergraduate students taking or have taken BUSI1100 Business Economics OR BUSI1095 Introduction to Economics OR BUSI1097 Economic Principles OR BUSI1099 Microeconomics for Business. Not available to students within the School of Economics. Available to Exchange students.
Classes
- One 1-hour seminar
- One 2-hour lecture each week for 10 weeks
Assessment
- 100% Exam (2-hour): In person written exam
