Summary
This module asks you to apply your Arts and Humanities knowledge to solve a problem for researchers, businesses or communities across the university and the city. The idea and methods that you have developed during your degree programmes are essential for changing the world in which we live and work. From the small-scale initiatives to the global, it is the unique capacity of the Arts and Humanities to understand people, processes and culture that enables us to make a difference. This module gives you a platform for this work, to develop your understanding of your degree programme and to demonstrate the range of careers open to you after graduation. You will work in an interdisciplinary team on a real project connected to impact, which we define as our ability to make change happen. These projects have been designed by individuals, groups and organisations that are looking to make a difference to our world. This might be about sustainability, business, equality, culture, politics or society, but the connection is our ability to create change. Teams will be issued with a project brief, guided through how to shape a project, how to work as a team and how to deliver results, thereby acquiring employment skills and experience to ensure you can make an impact with your arts and humanities knowledge.
